Description
MEDBRUN NITRIL EXPERT BIO
The first and only disposable nitrile medical glove available in Switzerland that is both biodegradable and climate neutral.
MEDBRUN EXPERT BIO biodegradable gloves are a Monuite initiative that contributes to a better environment. It is our contribution to provide a solution for the disposal of nitrile gloves.
Our MedBRUN EXPERT BIO is a combination of a biodegradable and CO2 neutral product, packaged with Goodpac technology to avoid waste and contamination.

Biodegradability
Biodegradable products for landfill are made by combining conventional plastic with an organic additive. Biodegradation only begins when the plastic is exposed to a microbe-rich environment, such as a landfill. The additive attracts microbes that begin to digest the plastic. In the process, the enzymes (secreted by the microbes) break the carbon bonds in the plastic molecule so that the microbes can digest it for energy. The more enzymes that are secreted, the more atoms are removed from the plastic molecule (called depolymerisation) for the microbes to digest. As this process continues, the plastic molecule is degraded and digested.
The biodegradability of plastics can be confirmed by comparing the results of an independent laboratory performing either ASTM D5511, ASTM D5526 or Bio-Methane Potential (BMP) tests.

COâ‚‚-neutrality
Through our collaboration with ClimatePartner, we are able to offset the carbon emissions from the production of our gloves through the climate project: “Plastic Free Oceans”. This project promotes sustainable development efforts such as local infrastructure development, job creation and biodiversity conservation.

Goodpac
With the Goodpac method, the gloves are always stacked alternately in a fully automated process. The gloves can thus be removed individually and without contamination.
- Cost-efficient: prevents wastage of gloves.
- Safety in use: Reduction of contamination when removing gloves.
- Quality control: Detailed quality control is carried out during production with Goodpac.
